This may seem like a simple statement, but I am always shocked at how many times this does not happen. Since day one of my carrier my secret weapon was always folks in the media department. As a Jr I used to go into there cubicles and just talk.. And before i knew it i would be pals with folks in that department of the agency. They would come to me with fun creative media buys.. And then the headline and visual part would be easy.. Our relationship with the three media firms is based on that same friendship and respect. So.. while on the road the other day, filling up the car, I noticed this.. A crappy sign on a gas topper.. For the record, I like gas toppers as a media buy.. But clearly no one informed the creatives about the buy.. Since its a very dangerous thing to do at a pump.. There is even a warning on the pump.. Maybe that warning should be the media buy..
