To say I am overwhelmed by the well wishes and congratulations of the past few days is an understatement.

Thanks to all who tweeted, friended me or emailed and called to convey congratulations.

The one thing this move to SmithGifford has reinforced for me, is how small and tight the advertising community is.  And nowhere is that more evident than here in DC.  Which is one of the reasons why I am so excited to stay here in this market.  When I moved to DC in 2006, I was struck by how warm and welcoming the advertising and marketing community is.  Bottom line: I fell in love with DC and the DC advertising community.

Becoming President of SmithGifford is a dream come true – a chance to return to my entrepreneurial roots and help grow the agency, while building and growing the DC advertising market at the same time.

In honor of the move I have changed my license plate.
