In the end, it wasn’t even close. It only took Ernie “The Beefcake” Frate (pronouced “frah TAY,” like “par TAY”) a mere 9 minutes and 40 seconds to totally demolish and consume a 10-patty Vertigo Burger. The contest was held on Thursday, May 27th at 12:30PM at Elevation Burger, 442 S. Washington Street, Falls Church, VA.
I have to say that this was my first visit to Elevation Burger, but it will not be my last. This up-and-coming friendly restaurant chain boasts 100% USDA-certified organic, 100% grass-fed, 100% free range, 100% ground-on-premises beef. My burger was cooked to perfection and unlike the fare at many fast-food establishments, you can tell this burger is all-beef and no filler!

True to form, “The Beefcake didn’t just overcome “The Beef.” To add insult to injury, he sneared in the face of the once mighty Vertigo Burger and polished off his victory with a milkshake and fries.
In the always epic battle between man versus beef, there was no, as they say in the world of competitive eating, “reversal of fortune.” Ernie “The Beefcake” Frate easily held down his ten-patty burger with cheese, fries and milkshake.
Chalk this one up to a big victory for man.
